George Clooney and Julia Roberts are back together again! The Oscar-winning duo are set to star in the new romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise, from director Ol Parker.
Parker, who co-wrote the script for the film with Daniel Pipski, wrote and directed Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and the 2005 film Imagine Me & You. He also wrote the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel films.
The film, which is being made for Universal Pictures, is reportedly about a divorced couple (Clooney and Roberts) who travel to Bali to stop their daughter from repeating an error they made 25 years earlier.
Clooney and Roberts have, of course, played husband and wife before, in the Ocean’s Eleven trilogy. They also most recently starred together in the 2016 Jodie Foster-directed film Money Monster.
Since getting married back in 2014, Clooney has been very selective about his projects. Since Money Monster, the only work he’s done on screen has been with his Catch-22 miniseries for Hulu in 2019, and the Netflix sci-fi drama The Midnight Sky last year.
Roberts has been a little less frequent on the screen as well, most recently featuring on the Amazon series Homecoming and the drama film Ben Is Back, both in 2018. She’s currently filming the World War II drama White Bird for director Marc Forster.
