In just a few days, Geeta Gandbhir may well be an Academy Award winner, if she wins the Best Documentary Feature Oscar for The Perfect Neighbor. While that result will be found out on Sunday, yesterday brought news about her next project, which is a biographical look at a Hollywood icon. More below.
According to Variety, Gandbhir’s next film will be a documentary about none other than Whoopi Goldberg. The movie doesn’t have a title yet, but will be working off of Goldberg’s autobiography Bits and Pieces: My Mother, My Brother and Me. More when we have it, but Gandbhir is such a talented filmmaker, this project immediately becomes one to keep a very close eye on, especially if you’re a fan of Golberg’s. Stay tuned.
