Interview: Peter Sarsgaard, John Hoogenakker, and Jake McDorman on Their Law Enforcement Characters in ‘Dopesick’

Hulu’s new series Dopesick adapts Beth Macy’s nonfiction book Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors, and the Drug Company That Addicted America, shining a light on the human cost of the opioid epidemic. Among them are Rick Mountcastle (Peter Sarsgaard), Randy Ramseyer (John Hoogenakker), and John Brownlee (Jake McDorman), three lawyers who worked to take down the company most egregiously responsible.

Awards Radar had the chance to speak to the trio of actors portraying the legal side of this show about their real-life dynamic, what drew them to this subject matter, and the importance of this story.

New episodes of Dopesick premiere every Wednesday on Hulu.
