Listen to the ‘Mank’ Score and Original Song from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross

With David Fincher’s much-anticipated Citizen Kane-inspired Mank landing on Netflix today, the world gets to not only see the film many critics are hailing as the Oscar front-runner, but hear the full score, composed by Oscar-winning duo (and newly-inaugurated Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees) Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, which also debuts today. This lustrous score has been racking up accolades from the critics, much like the film that inspired it (including our rave here), with the Chicago Sun-Times calling it “another nomination-level score” and The Telegraph hailing it as “5 stars. A wondrous, multi-layered Jazz Age score.”

As if the score weren’t enough, Reznor and Ross today announced the debut of a new, previously unheard, original song for the film, which will no doubt be in contention for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards in April. The song is called “(If Only You Could) Save Me,” and is written by Reznor and Ross and performed by Adryon de León.

Mank, starring Gary Oldman, Amanda Seyfried, and more, is currently streaming on Netflix.
